Duchess-Adoption Pending!'s Story...
There is an adoption pending for this cat!

Duchess is a very pretty tortie who was found sitting in the parking lot of a local small park Memorial Day weekend. She looked lost and confused so one of the passersby took her home. She could not keep her so she asked Stray Cat Blues for help. Duchess was emaciated and even after weeks of living in foster care, she did not put on weight. So her foster Mom had some bloodwork done on her and it was shown that she has hyperthyroidism. Treatment is very simply applying medicine to the bare spots of her ears twice a day. She must know that it is helping as she rather enjoys having her ears rubbed. Since starting her medicine she is perkier and her coat looks better and she has even put on some weight.

Duchess is about 7 or 8 years old and must have had a home as she had been
spayed. She is easy going with the people and the cats that she lives with. She is low-maintenance, quiet and undemanding.

Duchess is spayed, litterbox trained, is up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duchess-Adoption Pending!, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
