Serenity's Story...
Serenity is a 2 year old spayed, female dachsund/terrier mix who was abandoned at a high kill shelter after her owners moved. In her past, she lived with small kids, dogs and cats and lives with dogs and cats in her foster home. She is housebroken and crate trained. Serenity is a very loving dog who can be shy with new people. She would prefer a quiet home and while she is fine with other dogs, can get jealous and may prefer to be the only canine in the house. She does not like chaos and would not want to be a city dog. Older respectful children would be ok, but we do not want her in a home with young, rambunctious kids or a lot of other dogs. She loves to go outside and play, but also to cuddle in your arms, If you do not like animals in the bed or on the furniture, she is not for you. Her adoption fee is
$300. If you are interested in providing this girl with a permanent home, please fill out an application at www.journeyanimalrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serenity, a Stow Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Stow, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Stow.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stow already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stow breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stow paves the way for another one to be saved.
