Cyrus's Story...
Hi, I'm Cyrus,

I am a 4 year old boy with a black smoke tabby coat. I'm a big guy, but that just means I have more love to give. I was adopted out to a great home in January of 2005, but due to asthma and allergies at my home, I had to come back to RAIN. I lived the whole time with kids, and I do great with them. It's a sad story, but I am adjusting to life again with other cats. I am a SUPER friendly cat. I love to be with people, rub on your leg and give head butts. When you call me, I will come and hop up with you. Like I said, I do great with kids and I'm getting used to, and seem to be doing well with learning to live with other cats and a small dog. When I get nervous I will walk around and talk to you while searching out new spaces. I am not a shy boy at all. If you are looking for a great looking hunk of a cat with a great personality then I'm the guy for you. Oh and my coat is as smooth as silk! (mj)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cyrus, a Sacramento Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
