My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Josh is 6 1/2 months old and weighs about 45-50 lbs. He, and his brother, Alex, were living in a garage without windows, food, or water. Their owner must have fed them enough to keep them alive but that was the extent of it. Their puppy collars were even growing too small and their nails were naturally filed by the concrete floor.

Despite their sheltered beginnings, these pups are quite happy, playful and now enjoying the sunshine, soft grass and beds to sleep in. Josh was a little more reserved than Alex but within a few days, joyfully accepted the changes in his world and is even carefree after his brother has already gone off to his furever home.

We are not sure of Josh's breed. His longer nose, coloring and short hair lead us to believe there is some doberman in him and we say shepherd because his brother looked more shepherd but truly, he is just a mixed breed.

Josh is a happy boy who loves to run around the yard and play, takes long naps and cuddle. He barks when he wants to play but other than that, is not a huge barker. His bark, however, is loud and would make a great deterrent when you're not home (if he'll bark when you're not home). He is crate-trained and happily trots into his crate for treats and dinner.

Josh is also very good with other dogs and I'm sure he would love a playmate to help him feel at home and show him the ropes. In the video, you'll see him enjoying playing chase with his foster brother, Raven.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application located at
https://dogsunlimited.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application-for-dogs-unlimited-rescue/

All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

THE SUBMISSION OF YOUR APPLICATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN ADOPTION NOR DOES IT OBLIGATE YOU TO ADOPT. Multiple applications are accepted for any available pet and a home is chosen that is the best match between the available pet and the potential furever family. Your application will be processed as quickly as possible and if approved, a home visit would be scheduled. No adoption is final until an Adoption Agreement is presented and agreed to by both parties.

Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are furever happy! Questions: email adopt@dogsunlimitedrescue.org

And THANK YOU for considering a rescue dog for your family!
