Hey there! I’m Kirby. I’m a blue-eyed, light-brown brindle pit mix with a passion for snuggling, and wishes for kisses. I’m a giver: I give love. I give thanks. Speaking of giving thanks, I can’t wait for Thanksgiving – and all your dropped table scraps. Think about it … less cleaning for you after the family leaves. I love having visitors and I’m adorably enthusiastic. I'm a big, boofy boy with a long, waggy tail, so we have to make sure I’m being good around the little visitors!
In all honesty, I’m a puppy. I have puppy urges, so keep your shoes in a closet and leave your cell phone chargers out of reach – I consider those to be a tasty treat. Speaking of treats, I LOVE them. My toys are my joys, but I’ll share them with you if you give me a treat. I’m used to having total freedom because I was living outside without a home of my own for a while here in Massachusetts, so I’m hoping to find a place with a fence so I can go in and out (and stretch my legs and burn some energy) when needed. When I’m around other dogs, I want to play, play, play! Maybe you already have a dog playmate for me at your house? I’d like that. One cool trick I learned recently is “sit”, so when I’m adopted, we’ll have to keep up with my new tricks to make sure I stay an expert. One other thing that I bet you’ll like about me: I’m house trained, I don’t have any food aggression, and I sleep great through the night … especially when I’m snuggled up with my people.
My foster family says that if there was ever a window into the soul of a dog, mine would be the gold standard. I’m looking for a warm lap to lay on, so if you have one, pencil me in for a meet & greet.
Love and kisses,
Kirby
