Chance is a 2 year old female border collie. She is on the smaller side,
and she is traditionally marked black and white with a semi rough coat

Chance is not a dog for some types of lifestyles. She is choosy about which
dogs she likes. Chance has some dog-to-dog reactivity, more so on a leash
rather than off leash. She will not make a good dog park dog or one that is
off leash. She has been integrated with the resident pack of dogs in her
foster home, however, she wants to be the alpha and will challenge if she is
not watched. Chance really would prefer a home in which she is the only
dog. Chance has quite the prey drive, so a home without cats, birds, and
other pocket pets is a must. Chance does resource guard her food,
therefore, she will not be placed in a home with small children.
Even with her negative traits, Chance is truly a lovely dog. Chance is very
sweet natured and lively with a happy go lucky personality. This is a dog
who wants to rock your world and be your BFF. She wants nothing more than
to forge the closest of bonds with her person. Chance is so affectionate
and loves all people when she meets them. Chance wants to please you and is
very motivated, especially if there are treats involved. You will never
meet a more obedient and loyal dog.
Chance has perfect house manners and is crate trained. She is housebroken.
Chance rides really well in the car, and loves to ride shot gun next to you.
She enjoys her walks and is good on the leash, but sometimes she pulls.
Chance knows all of her basic obedience commands. She also loves to play
nonstop ball and fetch. She will also self-entertain with toys.
Please don't apply for Chance just because she is pretty and cute. Chance
will require a person who understands dog-to-dog reactivity and is willing
to manage her condition. Chance has had a rough start and has had too many
homes in her short life. BCIN is looking for a committed person who
recognizes her potential and will give her the forever home she truly
deserves. We have disclosed the good, bad, and the ugly about her so that
you can decide if she is the right dog for your home environment.
