Pumpkin's Story...
Hi, my name is Pumpkin and I was recently a momma to 3 kittens. They've already been adopted and I miss them. I was a really sweet, protective momma. We started out as a family in the wild and then we lived in a foster home for a month. My foster momma had to be patient with me because I thought she would steal my kittens, but once I trusted her, I transformed into a sweet little kitty. I'm still learning not to not be wild; I used to not meow or purr. Sometimes I get irritated because I've spent my life in the wild and humans are still a foreign concept, but I will let you hold me briefly and I do like my head rubbed, just watch out because sometimes my wild side kicks in and I communicate through hissing which means I need a break. I will love you as much as you love me. I do enjoy playing with string, wand, and laser toys, but not with dogs or cats--they are all so big and scary! Please come sweet-talk to me sometime!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Hayden Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hayden, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hayden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hayden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hayden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hayden paves the way for another one to be saved.
