Hello. My name is Taco. I'm about 4 years old and I weigh about 10 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Kensington area. I was running for a couple of days and I finally took up residence at a home there. I hung out with the kitty cats on the porch... we were pals. The lady coundn't keep me though and didn't know where I lived so she brought me in here to the pound.
I came in to the pound with lots of fleas and some pretty gnarly flea dermatitis, but I am finally getting cleared up and starting to feel better.
I am a shy boy at first and like most Chihuahuas I can be a little bit of a barker when new people come in. Once I warm up though, I am a very sweet and loving little guy.
I am more than happy sitting on your lap, or I can also just lounge on the dog beds.
I do well with other dogs. I am fine with small dogs and also fine with bigger dogs as long as they're relatively calm.
I am really great inside. I appear to be housebroken and here at the pound, I hold it and hold it until I get outside in the grass. I don't even like going on the concrete. I like to wait for grass time.

I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.

HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
