Hi everyone! My name is Avery. Do you like to play ping pong? I do! I play with the kids in my foster home every night. Ping pong balls are my favorite toy. I am a shorthaired, black and white cat who is about 1-2 years old. I weigh approximately 8.5 lbs. I'm a very pretty little girl. I'm friendly and sweet. Because I am already spayed and up-to-date on vaccines, I am ready to go to my new home right now. I just have to find them. I am a very easy going cat that wants to be petted and loved. I enjoy playing with shoe strings and other toys. I love people and getting attention, but I also enjoy lounging around and relaxing. I do well adapting to new people and will greet them without hesitation. I am outgoing and curious. I am also very observant of my surroundings and enjoy watching neighborhood activities out the window. I always use my litterbox like a good girl. I have such a laid back, calm personality that I will do well in just about any home, but my hope is for a family that will love and care for me as much as I love people. From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event). Adoption event dates for 2016: February 6, February 20, March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16, May 7, May 21, June 4, June 18, July 2, July 16, August 6, August 20, September 3, September 17, October 1, October 15, November 5, November 19, December 3 and December 17.
Sunday, February 28: Adoption Event at PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills. From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event) on the last Sunday of every month. Event dates for 2016: February 28, (no event in March due to holiday), April 24, May 22, June 26, July 24, August 28, September 25, October 23, November 27 and December 18.
Adoption and Foster Care Application
Adoption Process: Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
