Dancer's Story...
ADOPTED! Dancer is a Pinto gelding who came from the Muncie, IL rescue. Dancer was in very poor condition when he first arrived, but has made a full recovery and is a wonderful and friendly horse. He has been started under-saddle and is doing quite well. He has a great attitude and enjoys having a job. He has only had a few rides but shows promise and will need a person who is experienced with green-broke horses. UPDATE: Fall/Winter 2016 - Dancer is coming along wonderfully, has had multiple rides outside and is definitely getting confident! He doesn't bolt or spin when surprised (and seeing a horse and carriage for the first time is definitely an eye-opener!). He is looking for that special person who can give him a wonderful home and good consistent riding - he just needs more wet saddle pad time! Why not make him your "perfect horse?"

Dancer, who is 6 years old, is going to make a great horse for anyone. Dancer's adoption fee is $500.
Dancer is available for adoption in Illinois or within a 3-hour driving radius of Champaign County, Illinois.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dancer, a Dewey Paint/Pinto was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Paint/Pinto for sale in Dewey, or seeking a Paint/Pinto from a breeder in Dewey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dewey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dewey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Paint/Pinto breeders who help with Paint/Pinto rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dewey paves the way for another one to be saved.
