Hi everyone! My name is Weston. I'm a 2-year-old neutered male Spaniel mix. I weigh 18 pounds. I'm a sweet, happy fellow with a heart of gold and a zest for life. I love hanging out with my human friends, and I'm really friendly with other doggies, too.
I was found as a stray, wandering the streets with no identification or recollection of my past. The person that found me brought me to the pound, where they saw that I was covered in ticks. The staff removed most of them, and I was placed in a cage with a female dog. And here's the kicker - I hadn't been neutered yet! Apparently someone at the shelter didn't think that one through...
But the shelter wasn't so bad. In fact, I became friends with my roommate and, when CageFree came to pull me out of there, I was hesitant to leave! The only annoying thing about having a roommate is having to share the spotlight. I loved it when my human friends would come to visit me, and I wanted all of the attention. I never told her it bothered me or acted aggressively toward her, but I did get jealous. You see, I absolutely love being affectionate and cuddling. I just can't seem to get enough belly rubs! Those are the best!
Although I didn't find the pound to be too scary, it was still no picnic! Now that I'm here at CageFree, I know I'm safe and sound. I'm such a sweetheart and I have so much love to give. I'm hopeful that my forever family will come along soon, and I can't wait for my happily ever after to begin! Do I sound like the perfect pup for you?
