King (aka Petey)'s Story...
1/03/09: King (aka Petey) looks absolutely gorgeous. He is a complete lovebug according to his foster mom. This boy just loves attention and affection. He is a very active young boy who would love to romp and play (unfortunately he cannot until he completes his heartworm treatment). He is so incredibly adorable in person. King would love to find his forever family. If you have any questions about King, please call us! King deserves the greatest home after so many months spent in boarding. We really could use some sponsor money to help pay his outstanding vet bill as well.

12/17/08 - Petey has started his heartworm treatment and will be ready for his forever home soon. His foster mom says that he is the sweetest dog. He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home (Kora, Dora, and Precious from Marion) and sleeps under the covers with his foster mom. He does need some work on leash walking as he tends to pull - but other than that - this boy is a terrific dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

King (aka Petey), a Marion Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Marion, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
