Melody's Story...
5/07/08: This is Melody- oh she is soooo sweet. Melody is the proud mama to 9...yes 9 adorable puppies (about 3 months old). She had been spotted in a subdivision not too far from town and the neighborhood people tried to catch all of them several times to no avail. They were all living in a culvert-type structure. What a momma to take care of her babies so well. Melody is seriously incredibly gentle natured and friendly. She immediately comes to you for affection. She has been though so much and deserves a great life. Until we find that for her, could you please consider fostering her to get her out of the shelter??? She is now separated from her babies and they are all living outside. Call Joan at 870-739-1145 if you can help!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melody, a Marion Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Marion, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
