This little cutie and it's litter mates along with 30 other dogs were taken from a hoarding situation in Southern Ohio. The shelter there was over crowded and not a safe place for barely 3 week old puppies so we agreed to take them. By taking them the dogs in the shelter didn't have to be killed to make space for them.
The day we got Midnight and these sweet babies the vet came out for a home visit. They were de-wormed and kept under a close eye. They did come down with parvo a week later but we caught is so quickly that everyone survived... not without a $3,000 vet bill but look at that face, totally worth every penny.
These cuties were born roughly around July 10th. We have not a clue what dad was and to be very honest mom is a guess too. She is very pretty, only about 30 - 35 pounds and looks like a Border Collie without long hair. We are calling these puppies Border Collie Beagle Mix puppies but to be very honest we have no a clue! Your guess is as good as ours. Even the vet said he had no idea but they sure are cute!
We do not believe they will be very big, under 40 pounds but again that is a guess and you have to be ok with the fact that these puppies are true American mutts. If you are looking for a specific size or breed these might not be the puppies for you. If you are looking for a great family dog, these are the puppies for you.
Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, microchip, 1st set of shots, de-wormed, free and discounted training, one free bath and nail trim from our groomer, 30 days free pet insurance and free support and advice from the rescue family for the life of the puppy.
We do ask that only homeowners in the state of Ohio apply at this time.
They will not be ready to go home until September 10th after 6 pm; all appointments will be scheduled after that date/time.
We will process applications in the order received and we will do our best to select the homes that we feel meet the needs of the puppies. Please do not ask us to come prior to the 10th and please do not ask us to be first. This is a very long and stressful process for our 100% volunteer organization and we ask you respect our time and decisions. We do the best we can for those who have no voice.
