My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Finnegan is a 2 yr old, gorgeous mix with a short white coat and spots. he is absolutely adorable and so incredibly sweet! He was just one of too many “common” black and white dogs in the CA shelters until we rescued him and transported him to Washington! He is 50lbs of special love, affection and good manners. Finn will certainly delight a loving family, or anyone really who wants an amazing dog. He is crate trained (but prefers not to be crated) and house trained as well.. Finnegan loves attention and is easy on the leash with his harness, and easy to handle. He listens well, very attentive and is extremely smart. He knows sit, stay, shake, and hardly ever jumps up. He has a medium energy level but tends to play a bit rowdy with young dogs his size so we recommend a dog his size to play with or the only dog is fine too. He isn't too picky! Finn just wants to be someones best buddy. He will need you to finish his training, but he is eager to learn. Indoors he is mellow, amiable, calm, and not obtrusive. His beautiful white speckled coat needs only occasional brushing, and dries very quickly if he gets wet...Which he doesn’t mind at all! Finnegan is good with other friendly dogs, kids and he even shows no interest in cats unless they are running, but Dog Savvy cats are cool with him. He has a preference towards women over men which is somewhat common with rescue dogs. Finn acts shy and timid around some men which could have been that someone didn't treat him too nice in his past. He is neutered, and is current on all shots, heartworm tested negative, and micro-chipped. This southern Ca. young gentleman has traveled a long way for his forever home and he will return your gift of a loving home by being friendly, loyal, and obedient and he will make you very proud of him. Even though he does well with other dogs we don't recommend the dog parks due to his rambunctious play behavior may upset a calmer older dog.To meet and perhaps adopt this happy boy contact Denise at rescuinganimals@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $300. Finnegan is 2 yrs old and just 50 lbs, the perfect sized pup! Please go to www.raincityrescue.com and click on the adopt tab asap! You can email for an application to be sent to you as well.
