Is there a look any more appealing than this one? Such large, dark eyes in such a small white face? Just 5 years old, Tigger, the sweet Maltese, has suffered more in his short life than others twice his age and double his size. Due to a spinal injury caused by his former owners’ large dog, his hind legs lack the precision of his front legs, and he must be diapered when left unattended and overnig ht. And yet, with “dogged” determination, this pint-sized pooch gets around just fine, thanks! Like many small breeds, he has a collapsing trachea, requiring that he eat softer, smaller kibble and have any meds crushed up. But like other small breeds, Tigger is also a loyal and loving lapdog, asking only to be wherever his one and only is – forever.
Tigger is eligible for our “Forever Foster” program. While you provide the setting and the love, we will provide for his expenses. Forever.
We require that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments/condo situations. We also require that adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org
Visiting hours are Tues - Sunday, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. & 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. by APPOINTMENT.
