Nelly was thought to have Parvo, a deadly disease, soon after she came into the Berkeley Animal Cares Shelter! Since she was very active (when a dog has Parvo, one of their symptom is lethargy), her caretakers wanted to make sure that she had Parvo. So, they tested her again and the test came back negative!! Turns out it was a false positive because she had recently been vaccinated. WOOHOO! We whisked her right up and into a great foster home where she continues to thrive. Now all she needs is a forever family to grow up with and love. This is what her foster's say about her, Nelly is a wonderful, bright and an EXTREMELY smart dog. In one night, I was actually teaching her to give me her paw... not sure if she remembers that today. during the first night she slept on a pillow in the corner of the house with some newpapers on the side and did not even pee or poo! She tends to pee a bit when she gets overly excited, but I think that's because she's a pup and I am sure she will grow out of it... She's starting to play with chew toys. She LOVES PEOPLE!!!! NOT SHY AT ALL!!! All she really needs is some attention and love...
