Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello everyone! I am Mitzie! I am a Beagle mix, so I am a little larger than your average Beagle, but I am about 60 pounds of love! I love, love, love people! Do you need a hug? How about a big slurpy kiss? I can do that! But foster mom says I need to learn some manners. I have a tendency to jump up on people, and I can sometimes get a little food aggressive. I am good with most other dogs, but sometimes I pick and choose which dogs I like. I would be ok as an only dog though- then I wouldn’t have to guard my food and choose my canine friends. For now, I should probably look for a home without small children or cats.
I have only recently been rescued, and am only around 2 years old, so I am still learning how to be a happy social pet. I still need some work on learning how to walk on a leash. And that manners thing- whew! Someone with a lot of patience and a firm hand would really help me shine. Foster mom calls me a diamond in the rough!! I bet an obedience class or two would help also.
I am completely housetrained, and fairly quiet, so I might be ok in an apartment. I would love to have a fenced yard to play in, but I’d be ok on a tie out. I am ok in a crate if you have to leave, but I’m not crazy about it. So, if you are looking for a beautiful, playful girl, with lots of love to give, look no further! Together we can make me shine like the diamond I’m meant to be!
