My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BEAR is a 7 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 90 pounds. Bear is a sweet gentle giant looking for an awesome family to love! Bear is gentle, gets along with other dogs and supposedly cats, too, and is wonderful with people. This gorgeous guy deserves a loving family! From transporter: So beautiful and well behaved. No pulling on leash and he is a perfect passenger - not a peep out of him. He came from a man who took terrible care of his dogs and they were impounded through Animal Control. He is approved for kids 10+.

Update (9/4): Bear is a GREAT houseguest. Has passed all my tests with flying colors - no begging, no barking, met all the neighborhood dogs with a sniffs and tail wags (includes 3 obnoxious barking JRTs behind a fence, a beagle yapping in his face, dogs I didn't know on walks). Walks well on an Easy Walk but will pull for a squirrel, bunny etc so I don't think he's a cat friendly guy. He has been left with my dog for a work day and was perfectly fine and was left alone while I took my dog for a 30 minute walk and he was also fine. Does not run out the gate or door if told not to and if he is out he'll come bouncing when called. He has also been fine with everyone he meets including some workmen who came by as well as neighbors who dropped in. He loves his walks and bounces when he sees the leash but will sit nicely to have the harness put on. He's walked up to 2 miles and was fine, after HW treatment and when it's cooler he'd probably walk more. He takes treats with a very soft mouth.
