My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miss Misty! She's a 7 year old Toy Fox Terrier mix that lived her entire life with the same owner. Her owner is having health problems and can no longer care for her. Misty was a house dog and used to being carried around. She was not walked outside and not familiar with being on a leash. She loved her fenced in backyard where she had the freedom to roam. Misty is house trained and had manners in the home. She has never lived with other dogs and tolerates cats. It's best if Misty were in an adult household or one with at least teenage children. This sweet girl will be a wonderful companion pet. Misty is still frightened. Please ask for her at the front desk when visiting. She would love to get out of the shelter and into a home ASAP.

If you have older kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting Misty, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
