This is Copper
He can be SUCH a love sometimes, but is very stubborn at others. He’s REALLY playful and adores playing with the laser. Any toy that moves catches his eye immediately. He’s very smart.

His DOB is 5-10-11 and he’s neutered

We have to keep him confined to his own room during the day while we’re at work; otherwise the other cats get too stressed out. We let him out the rest of the time and keep an eye on him as he still chases. I don’t think he’d know what to do with another cat if he ever caught one, he just likes the thrill of the chase I think. He’ll peek around corners waiting for another cat to walk by and then it’s on!  I’m not sure he absolutely needs to be a solo kitty, maybe just that he needs cats around his own age to romp with. He did really well with just Salem when they were confined together for a couple of weeks last year, but he’s his buddy. That, and Salem taught him early that he won’t be chased.

About Foreverhome Pet Rescue South

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 2005 by long-time animal rescue volunteers, Foreverhome Pet Rescue's goal has been to provide care and compassion for the homeless and abused animals of the Los Angeles area, while working to place them in loving adoptive homes through a network of volunteer foster homes.

FHPR South is a private, not-for-profit organization that operates solely on private donations and volunteer efforts, we are not a shelter.

We are always in need of donations, to donate please go to our website www.fhprsouth.org and click on the PayPal donate button.

We have adoption events at:

Unleashed by Petco
600 Redondo Ave (between 6th & 7th St)
Long Beach, CA 90814

Saturday 11:30am - 3:00pm
Sunday 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Not all animals are at adoptions due to limited space. If you come to adoptions without prior contact to set up a meet and greet, the animal you are interested in may not be there. If you are interested in any of them please go to our website and follow our adoption process.

Please do not contact Unleashed about adoptions.
Unleashed personnel are not aware of current pet availability.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process requires that an application be filled out and submitted via our website.
The application will then be submitted to the Board of Directors for review to determine whether or not your application represents the best situation for the pet you applied to adopt.
If the Board of Directors approves your application, you will be notified to set up a meet & greet with animal you are interested in. If adopting, you will be asked to sign an adoption contract and pay the tax deductible donation. We can only adopt to homes in the Southern California area.
