David is a two year old neutered male, tested and current on his shots. He is social and loving and likes your full attention. He would do well in an active family situation. He likes other cats and dogs. His owner died and he was rescued from a colony in the woods. He is trusting and outgoing and would be an onside only cat. About Hickory Hill K-9 Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

After working rescue with the local humane society it became clear that lots of animals were falling through the "political" cracks. Hickory Hill K-9 Rescue was formed to help these animals find new homes. There are wonderful adoptable pets dying daily in the local pounds. They may be called strays but most belonged to someone. In most cases they are housebroken, leash trained, crate trained, have social manners and just need a new place to call home. The rescue is an approved 501c3 non-profit organization.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Hickory Hill K-9 Rescue is located at our private residence. We are happy to work with potential adopters by appointment. By showing the animals at their foster home they are more relaxed and act more like themselves. They feel secure and cared for at their temporary home.

Our Adoption Process...

All animals have a $150 adoption fee. All animals are spayed, neutered, receive all shots including rabies and are heartworm tested. Those testing negative immediately begin preventive. Those testing positive are treated and on preventive before they can be released to a new home. Our rescue animals are also microchipped with 24PetWatch.

We require all animals in the potential adoptive home be altered, current on shots and heartworm. We do ask for permission to contact your vet to verify this information. Some dogs are required to have a fenced yard depending on temperment. We do not adopt out animals to be outdoor dogs only.
