About Oxford Ferret Rescue

About Our Shelter...

My name is Claudia and I'm from Pittsburgh, PA. I went to school at WVU and later UGA where I studied animal science and nutrition. Animals have always been the focus of my life. I originally rescued sheep and goats, but when a ferrets needed a home in 1999, my life was changed forever. Zeke, my first ferret is the reason that I'm a rescue. I'm very fortunate to work as a vet tech at a great animal hospital with 3 very talented ferret vets. Most of the ferrets in my home are oldsters and there are very few days that I go to work without any ferrets. I'm very picky about finding forever homes for my kids, but I owe them the best possible life.

All ferrets are also examined by a vet prior to adoption. Home inspections are required - more specifically , the areas where the ferrets will be housed.
