Jodi's Story...
Jodi is a long-haired dachshund/corgi mix who began her life as a breeder. Those days are behind her now, she's spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She's a beautiful girl, who turned 5 years old in February, 2015. Quiet and somewhat slow to warm up to people she doesn't know. Great with dogs and cats. She's not suited to a home with small children, as she's afraid of them. Very well crate trained, and will tell you when she needs to go outside.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jodi, a Greenwood Dachshund/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Corgi for sale in Greenwood, or seeking a Dachshund/Corgi dog from a breeder in Greenwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greenwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greenwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Corgi breeders who help with Dachshund/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greenwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
