Penny is a 15 year old doxie mix, who was surrendered to a shelter. She is in remarkable health for her age, including her teeth. Penny weighs 20# and is attempting to reduce a few lbs. Penny does have cataracts, which cause her vision to be less than perfect. She has adapted well and can compensate for her vision loss. She is slow to go up and down stairs and would be best suited to a single story home. Penny is spayed, current on all vaccines and heartworm negative. Penny does well with other dogs, cats and everyone she meets. She is best suited in a home without young children. Penny walks well on a leash, is crate trained and housebroken.
APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT REQUIRED. ADOPTION FEE $150
Bluegrass Senior Dog Rescue recruits individuals to foster our dogs on a short or long term basis. The rescue pays for all of the dog’s veterinary care and monthly preventatives while in foster care.
NOTE-Fosters must live within 100 mile radius of Georgetown KY.

BLUEGRASS SENIOR DOG RESCUE ONLY FOSTERS/ADOPTS DOGS THAT ARE FULLY VACCINATED INCLUDING RABIES AND BORDATELLA AND ARE SPAYED/NEUTERED. BEGINNING 2015 ALL ANIMALS ARE MICROCHIPPED AND THE RESCUE PAYS THE REGISTRATION FEE.
