Kenai's Story...
Kenai, Kodiak, McKinley and Sitka are siblings who were brought to us as very young babies because their mother had abandoned them. They have been raised in a loving foster home and will be ready for adoption by the middle of Sept. If you would like to arrange a visit, please call the Geneseo Humane Society at (309) 944-4868. We will hold the kitten(s) of your choice with a deposit and approved application. Kenai is a beautiful light gray tabby with peach spots throughout her fur. DOB 7-16-15.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kenai, a Geneseo Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Geneseo, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Geneseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Geneseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Geneseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Geneseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
