My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you already in shape but would like a running, biking, hiking partner? Annie may be right for you! She's a high energy 10 month old Australian Shepherd mix that needs MILES every day. Annie is extremely smart and learns very quickly. This is both a blessing and a curse. She can figure out your fence gate, every puzzle you throw at her, and knows how to climb. On the positive side she would be a fantastic agility, herding, or nose-work dog. Annie is motivated by people and it seems to hurt her feelings when they don't like her or if they ignore her. She does the same thing with other dogs. Annie loves them all but they don't always reciprocate. Her play style is similar to a boxer's in that she uses her arms to play. When other dogs correct her she takes it very well (she's submissive) but then seems to try to make it up to them. Annie thinks cats are fun and wants to play with them and chase them. We do not recommend her to be in a home with a cat.

Annie is a funny girl as well. She loves to play with toys and will sometimes throw them to herself. She's started some basic training but is still a puller on-leash. She's crate trained and getting very good at potty training as well.

Annie has a larger than life personality and will keep you going if you ever need a laugh, but you will grow to dislike her behavior if she doesn't get enough exercise and mental stimulation.
