My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If kisses were pennies, Fiona's foster mom would be a millionaire! She is pure love and joy but also the fearless and fabulous Fiona princess pup everyone wants! She is as smart and loving as she is beautiful. She taught herself how to push open doors in order to get to her Foster Mom. She knows what she wants and doesn't whine to get it; she figures it out and goes after it. She loves to play outside and comes when called. When she is done playing, she will jump in your lap and smother you with kisses and then fall asleep in your arms. Fiona's sweet and intelligent eyes literally "speak" to you. She loves everyone. She has never met a dog she didn't like and will play with anyone. If they play too rough, she will walk away. Fiona has been around children of different ages and exhibits typical puppy behavior so would need close supervision with young children. Fiona is very social and playful; she loves to be around people and just a little bundle of fun. She would do best in a home with medium level of activity. She has a medium level of play and will then look for a chew toy or someone to snuggle with. She loves to be held and have her belly rubbed. She really is pure puppy that loves to run, tumble, explore, chew, and chase a ball. She loves to be outside!

Fiona is a female/sp Terrier-Hound mix born August 2015. She is crate trained.

AS WITH ALL YOUNG PUPS, this puppy will need constant supervision when not crated. Puppies will chew and get into trouble as any puppy would. A puppy needs a leader and someone to teach the basics of house training, obedience, and behavior. At the ages of 10-16 weeks, puppies tend to tire easily and take lots of naps. As they get older, they will need more exercise (walks, hikes, playing fetch, etc) to expend their energy and to be happy and healthy.

Don't get us wrong, we love puppies! However, we also want those interested in adopting a wee canine to make a thoughtful decision, be realistic in behavior expectations, and be prepared to provide proper and kind leadership.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $250 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
