My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darling Sargent is a 5 yr. old Dutch terrier and absolute love bug! Very sweet, gentle, cuddly, and playful and does well around other dogs (preferably ones close to his size), kids of all ages, and cats although he usually chooses to keep his distance from the felines. He is house-broken, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Sargent knows basic commands, is great both on and off-leash, and really enjoys his daily walks - so much so that he will stand near the front door or drag his leash to you when he wants to leave.

Sargent also really loves his people and wants to be around them as much as possible. He'll be your lap dog or rest quietly at your feet and likes to sleep at the end of the bed at night to ensure his people are protected from the boogie man :-) He needs a home with a retired person or couple or where his owner works from home as he can become overly anxious when left alone for long periods of time. He may also be a great candidate for doggy daycare.

If you're looking for a cute little companion (medium-sized, 25 lbs) with quite the personality and a dog to dote on and shower with attention, Sargent is definitely the one for you!

Sargent's adoption donation is $250 to cover vet care and general expenses while in rescue.
