Name: Roxy
Age: 5 years old
Breed/Weight/Coloring: Roxy is a creamy/beige labradoodle looking dog however we do not know her exact breed. She looks like a mini labradoodle or possibly a wheaten terrier mix. She weighs about 40 pounds and has longish curly non-shedding hair.
Rescue History: Roxy has been in a foster home for a while now and is ready for her new home! Roxy was adopted out to a lovely family last year with young children and small dogs. Unfortunately the mother fell ill and lost her vision - sadly the family was forced to return her to the rescue as they adjusted to their mother's health and financial struggles.
Personality: Roxy is the definition of fun-loving! She is a happy girl who enjoys playing with dogs smaller than her - she loves to let them jump and romp all over her as she lays on her back gently gnawing and wrestling with any available furry friend. Little playful dogs are her best playmate but she would do well with any playful dog similar in size to her as well. Roxy is a lovely all-around family dog and genuinely enjoys being part of the foster family that she currently resides with. She is always down for a game of fetch with her human which seems to be her favorite past time at the moment. She LOVES chasing tennis balls. She is a very good watch dog in her home and thinks it is her job to alert her humans whenever there is a knock at the door. She is not overly barky all the time, only where there are visitors. Once she knows they are welcome, she backs off easily (especially if given a treat!). Roxy is also the perfect car companion. She loves car rides and is calm and well behaved when traveling. Her current foster dad once took her on a cross country road trip in his truck as his companion and she was a perfectly behaved angel the entire trip.
Medical: Roxy is spayed, micro-chipped, currently vaccinated, and has no health issues.
Would do best: Roxy would do best in a home with another little playful dog of course. She could go to a family or to a nice couple or individual. She is pretty versatile - as long as she gets her playtime. Roxy strongly bonds with her humans so a home where humans are home more often than not are a plus.
Cats/Dogs/Kids: Roxy gets along well with cats and can peacefully co-exist with them in her new home. As stated, she is the best companion/playmate to other equally as playful dogs. As far as kids, she currently resides with a toddler and is absolutely fine we just prefer to rehome her with children past the age of pulling and tugging - so children 8 & up are preferred.
