Gilligan's Story...
This adorable ball of fluff is Gilligan, a 4 month old long haired beauty in a black coat that would just love a great home of his own. Gilligan came to us with his castaway friends when the little family were found as strays back in June. They went into foster care until they were big and strong enough to be on their own, now they're all ready to meet some nice families that will give them wonderful lives. Gilligan is a loving and affectionate little guy that makes friends very easily. He's outgoing and sociable and, and always up for making new friends too. Gilligan is playful and fun loving, and has a blast just rolling around and mushing up his caretaker. He gets along great with other cats and doesn't have much shyness about him. Gilligan would transition easily in a good home with a loving family that will never leave him stranded again. File#24988 6/27/15

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gilligan, a Forked River Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
