Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This big beautiful boy has been blind from birth. Stocky is a very affectionate blind young kitty, who needs an indoor only home. He has been blind from birth, but has fooled lots of folks into thinking that he can see. In his foster home he got along well with dogs and other cats, but it takes some time for him to get accustomed to new animals. He would also be fine as an only cat. When he first meets you, he is slightly shy, but he warms up very quickly and will soon wiggle his way into the hearts of all who get to know him.
To help him settle into your home give him a secure, small room of his own for an introductory period of time. Equip this room with some toys, food, water, a comfy bed, a scratching post and a litter box. Visit him often for food time, play time and just relaxing nap time; he will soon be greeting you at the door in anticipation. When he is doing this he is probably ready to explore more of your home a bit at a time. Be sure to find some fun wand toys and things for Stocky to exercise.
Stocky is a courtesy kitty and is located at the Marin Humane Society. Ask to meet Stocky, he is a real find! Mention Animal ID: 203437. Call 415-506-6225.
