My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Tequila" is a beautiful 4-year old female Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on September 3, 2015 for a very sad reason :( Her owner passed away, and there was nobody in the family who could give "Tequila" a home. This gorgeous girl has a pale brown/brindle short smooth coat, white paws, a long tail, and a very pretty face with a black muzzle and short semi-erect ears. When "Tequila" first arrived at the shelter, she was understandably nervous and apprehensive since she didn't know what was happening when she found herself in an unfamiliar place with people that she had not yet met. Our compassionate kennel techs have made sure that she feels welcome and our staff and volunteers have been giving her plenty of TLC. These updated photos of "Tequila" were taken on September 4th, and she was already feeling more relaxed and enjoying being outside for long walks. "Tequila" is a big girl who currently weighs 79.6 lb., and she is pretty strong on the other end of a leash. We were told that she loves to ride in a car, so she must have enjoyed outings with her owner. It appears that "Tequila" does not do well with other dogs or cats :( She was spayed on September 11, 2015 and was also given rabies vaccine.
