Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JEAN LUC
11 year old, Male, Orange Persian
COURTESY POST: Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.
Oh my, look at this adorable face! Don’t let Jean Luc’s age concern you; he is still quite playful and loves to act like a kitten. He really likes his current owner’s hair and strings...and also tissue paper, which he seems to think he needs to snack on. So please watch him when you let him have some tissue paper so he doesn’t spoil his appetite – just kidding, tissue paper is just not on his recommended diet plan.
He is a small little armful of cuddles, although he looks a bit bigger in his long and fluffy coat. This little lion kitty is just as sweet as they get. Lovers of Persians know all too well how wonderful and attached these little treasures can be. If you are looking for little Cuddle Bear underneath your bed covers, Jean Luc is that cuddle boy. Oh, and we are told he loves getting his little nose rubbed – which I assume might just work on his little belly, too.
Ideally, Jean Luc would like to be an only kitty to assure that he can have his humans all to himself. Who can blame the little guy? He is the type of kitty that sleeps on the bed every night and comes running to the door when his family comes home, well, unless he is asleep, but after he gets up from his kitty nap he will come around to give lots of kisses to his humans. He doesn't especially like other kitties but is never aggressive towards them. It probably depends on the personality, or should we say purrsonality, of the other kitty. However, at this point in his life, he may just be entitled to be The One and Only.
We know he is really terrified of dogs, so we cannot consider a family that has a dog, even if the dog is very gentle. We want to make sure that Jean Luc’s transfer to his new forever home is without a lot of trauma to him.
He is litter box perfect unless his box hasn’t been cleaned in a while. Then he will rebel and pee in the sink or bath, but as cat owners know, cats are very fastidious about needing a clean litterbox, so you can’t even blame the little guy. I give him kudos for using a sink or bath rather than the carpet…oops, did I just type that out loud?
Ok, here comes the question – why in the world would anyone give up this little treasure? His owners (a mother and daughter) are both moving out of the country. They feel that the trauma of the move, flying him cargo in addition with the quarantine would just be too much for this precious little guy. They have asked our support to help him find a loving new home, which we promised we would do for them and for him, and, well, for us, too, since there is nothing more rewarding than facilitating a successful and happy adoption of such a sweet little kitty.
Jean Luc is in excellent health and current on all vaccinations.
If you are looking for such a little treasure, please contact Frauke at 925-784-8244 or at loveallcats7@gmail.com or send an Adoption Application.
Please note that Jean Luc is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with his current owners in Mountain View, CA while being placed in his forever home. Adoption fee applies.
