My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darla – Beagle Boxer Pit mix. She was born approximately Sept 2014, is spayed, is up-to-date on vaccinations and weighs 25 lbs. The owners abandoned Darla and her 3 pups in a lot next to a shelter. They left them in a wire kennel some food on the ground – but no water. A shelter volunteer noticed them and when they got them into the shelter for a check-up they found all were covered with fleas and ticks who had been feeding on them for some time! They were covered in sores after the ticks and fleas were removed but are healing nicely now. Darla is a sweet girl and loves to be petted. She does get worried when her pups are separated from her and very happy when they return! This shows what a loving girl she is even though she was thrown away. She holds no ill feelings towards humans that we can tell. She is ready for her forever loving home! She had a broken leg which required surgery to set and caused nerve damage. The nerve may heal on it's own. The result is she doesn't know the position of her right rear foot - sometimes she walks on the top of the foot.
