My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World,
My name is Benjamin and I am a little bichon, about and a year and a half old who is a very lucky boy. Let’s start with why I am so lucky.

Until the other day I was living in the shelter with five other dogs in my ‘cage.’ Now I have a foster Mom who takes me to the park to play with other dogs and kids, I have a doggy foster brother who thinks I’m really neat (and likes to wrestle with me) and I have a foster Dad who likes to cuddle with me. (He says I’m the one who likes to cuddle but I tell him it takes two!)

Mom says I’m a laid back little guy who is well behaved, listens, is smart and learns quickly. She says I’m affectionate and love to sit on someone’s lap whenever possible. On the other hand my doggy foster brother likes to play with me – so I don’t get a lot of lap time as we chase each other a lot. Mom says I’m so nice that I would probably get along with just about anyone. At the dog park, I’m the one who plays with all the dogs, big and small - and everyone likes me. You see I’m just a very good little guy!

The best news is I don’t have to be alone any more. (Didn’t I tell you I’m lucky!) I get to play with other dogs, run like the wind, chase and walk on a leash. I’m housebroken, not a marker, and could probably walk for miles. And I get to ride in the car sometimes too. I like that a lot!

Dad says I am learning basic commands, want to please and that I am SWEET in capital letters. He says I am active and have lots of energy – and that I have big bright eyes that shine when I smile – and I smile a lot!

I enjoy being with my doggy foster brother, enjoy the company of people and other dogs. If my Forever Home had children to play with -- or a doggy brother or sister- that would be really nice, too!

So if you are looking for a little love of a guy who is playful yet laid back, energetic yet easy-going, please complete our application at www.bichonfurkids.org as I am waiting to meet you.
