Peach's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Peach's Story...
Peach is a gorgeous 18 month old standard Schnauzer mix with one blue eye and one brown eye. Peach came to ACL from an overflowing shelter in Oklahoma, and we're committed to finding her a perfect home! Peach is a medium sized dog who's very shy at first but opens up with love and affection! She's living happily in a foster home with other dogs and cats, and she's making great progress meeting strangers. Peach needs a home that doesn't mind being patient with her as she acclimates to new things. She's loving, affection, and playful once she's comfortable, and she'll make the right family a wonderful companion. If you'd like to meet Peach in person, please email caninemanager@animalcareleague.org to set up an appointment to see Peach in her foster home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peach, a Oak Park Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
