Daisy's Story...
Daisy is an active and enthusiastic one - two year old Shih Tzu cross. She has a whole lot of personality packed into her 15lb body. Daisy loves people, and she has a bit of separation anxiety to prove it. She gets along great with other dogs of all sizes and ages but she gets far too excited around cats to be able to live peacefully with them. Daisy loves to go for walks, to cuddle on the couch and anything in between. She has amazing recall in the yard, walks very well on leash and is housebroken. This beauty has a non-shedding coat (she has not been cleared as hypoallergenic though) and will require regular grooming upkeep. If you are interested in meeting Daisy please fill out our online adoption application today at www.nwas.ca

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Smithers Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Smithers, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Smithers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithers paves the way for another one to be saved.
