Heidi's Story...
What do Heidi and Vincent Van Gogh have in common? They both have only one ear.

Heidi is a loving 4 year old black and tan female whose past doesn't paint a very pretty picture. She came to us after being abandoned in a remote area, covered with mats with nothing to eat and nowhere to go. After being rescued by CSRET, her luck changed and her future paints a much brighter future. While we don't know what happened to her ear, it is obvious that she doesn't miss it because she is looking and feeling great and is ready for her forever home. It is said that "to have a good friend is one of the greatest delights in life" and Heidi is ready to have and be that friend. ,

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heidi, a Sugarland Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sugarland, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Sugarland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sugarland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sugarland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sugarland paves the way for another one to be saved.
