This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

Say hello to Nano, a very handsome blue and white smooth coat Chihuahua with quite an unusual characteristic for a Chihuahua – he has one blue eye and one brown eye!
Nano came to Chihuahua Rescue when his owner could no longer care for him. He arrived at his foster home with Angelica, and at first they stuck together like glue. Both
were very sad and confused at their world being turned upside down and Nano wouldn’t eat at first. He was very quiet and just wanted to be left alone in his expen with Angelica. While he picked up on the routine in his foster home right away, he just wanted to observe what was happening from the safety of his expen instead of being a part of what was going on.
Well, after a little time to adjust and a dental that took care of some very bad teeth that were probably causing him pain, Nano is a new little man! He runs in his expen when it’s mealtime and is happy to wait quietly until everyone is finished eating. He still loves to hang out observing the world from his bed in the expen, but spends much more time out with his foster siblings -- he’s even started to join everyone while they lay in the sun. Best of all he’s started to come up to his foster mom to request attention! He wants to be petted, but can be a little unsure about it. If you don’t move to fast, and do it on his terms, he relaxes and truly loves the attention. He loves to get his back scratched! He seems to be an old pro at going for walks and has very good manners on a leash and harness.
Nano is a very sweet, loving boy, but he is wary at first of people he doesn’t know, and can be very protective of his expen when people he doesn’t know approach it. Once he
is familiar with you, he will give lots licks and tail wags! He gets along with all the dogs in his foster home and other small dogs he meets on walks. He is kenneled during the day while his foster mom is at work and overnight and does very well. Nano is housebroken and prefers to do his business outside, but will use a pee pad. He is generally quiet, but will bark if the other dogs in his foster home are barking.
If you like to hand out treats, Nano loves to take them. In fact, he will take a treat, put it in his bed and then come back for another one on the off chance you forgot you already gave him one (which his foster mom often does)!
Nano needs an all adult home that is calm, loving, active enough to take him for daily walks, and that also has the time, patience and resources to dedicate to him for the rest of his long life. At 8 years old, Nano still has many years of love and companionship to give! Another small, calm dog to keep him company would be a plus!

Nano is neutered, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. on heartworm prevention, and has recently had his teeth cleaned. He is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
