My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petey is a very sweet, brown red & white Basenji Mix who is about 5-6 years old. He came to us from Missouri, where, sadly, he became infected with heartworm disease.

Petey loves walks, and walks well on a leash. He also is fine with kids, cats and other dogs. Tummy rubs and cuddling are his favorite things to do. We don’t think anyone has ever shown him how to play with toys. But he does love his human! He can be timid and scare easily at first so a securely fenced yard is a must for Petey.

This sweet guy is house-trained, up to date with vaccinations, crate trained and has had some obedience training. He will be neutered and have his heartworm treatment before he can go to his forever home.

Petey's adoption fee is $225. Adopters must live within 150 miles from or not more than a 3 hour drive from the Quad City Area.
