Muffin's Story...
Diary Entry #2 - Hi everyone. I'm back. My human mom and dad both got sick and had to move someplace where I couldn’t go. I'm glad I got to come back and play with my dog brothers and sister I've already been with. I get to lay around and watch TV whenever I want and am really the queen of the house. I love my people and hate it when they are out of sight. I cry a little but then realize I'm ok without them. I'd love to have a home where I can have someone around all the time, but I do like my own time, sometimes. I passed my physical with flying colors but I don't always hear everything that is being said. Come and meet me soon!

Diary Entry #1 - My name is Muffin and I'm a 9 year old American Cocker Spaniel. I'm so sad right now. My human mom was my bestest friend of all - we did everything and went everywhere together. But she passed away and I miss her alot. My human daddy just didn't know what to do with a dog - I was a mommy's girl all the way! So he learned about SDSR and I just knew that was where I had to get to. So here I am! My Foster Mommy takes such good care of me - it's not the same, but it helps me when I think of my first mommy. I'm not quite so sad then. I gots foster brothers and a sister to keep me company when my foster peoples go off to work. My foster mommy takes such good care of me, I just know mommy in heaven is watching and approving! I'm a quiet girl, prefering human company to toys and doggie antics. When I get bored I lick my paws (I'm allergic to some grasses and things, so that doesn't help) but Foster Mommy is helping me to stop that habit. I'm a low key girl with a heart full of love. Will you be my new mommy?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Muffin, a San Diego Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
