My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! The name's Lugh! No not lug BOL Lugh- like Lou. It means "light" or "shine", and boy do I! Missus Lizzabeth says I'm a star! Oh you noticed the eye, huh? Well, nobody really knows how it happened(and I'm not tellin'). Some really sweet ladies found me on the streets in East Memphis on March 16th. They took me inside and gave me some food and water. They wanted to keep me, but the landlord said no way! (stoopid breed prejudice) So they reached out for rescue because I obviously needed medical attention(duh my eye was all icky). That's when Missus Lizzabeth was told about me. She picked me up and took me right to the vet. Even with an icky eyeball I was still all smiles that day! Who wouldn't be? I got loved on by all kinds of beautiful women! (Yep Imma ladies man) I got my belly full! (I was kinda skinny it looked like food wasn't available all the time) and I was going for a car ride! Best thing EVER!!! The vet people were nice. They said yep, he's gonna lose that eye. (what was their first clue???) Missus Lizzabeth and her friend rallied the troops! Bang! Surgery was paid for and scheduled the next day.

I do ok without the eye, but my perception is off so I'm a little skittish about things being on that side of me. I'm a big guy but I love to cuddle(which usually is me sitting where ever I want to on you) Don't let the cuddly size fool you, though. I'm full of energy. I hear the words big ole baby a lot. She also tells me all the time what a good boy I am and how proud of me she is. So apparently I'm the bees knees. But I still need to go to someone strong and energetic with experience with dogs like me. Just to make sure I get to have the best fun possible! I'm also pretty smart. Missus Lizzabeth makes me practice my sits and waits when she feeds me. I also shake(both paws) give kisses, and can even play fetch with myself(gimme a water bottle and watch me goooooooooo) My vaccinations are up to date and I'm neutered. They think im less than a couple years old maybe. House training hasn't been too easy, but I smell sooooo many dogs that have been here that sometimes I just can't help myself BOL! I can be iffy with other dogs, too. They don't know how to handle all my awesomeness. But we can still try. I'm not mean. Ok, well that's my little story! Hope you enjoyed it! I'm looking for my furever home, maybe it's with you!
