Mandy is looking for that special someone who can see her beauty and help her feel safe. She takes a little time to warm up to a new person, but once she trusts you she gives her heart.

At ~5 years young she is past the wild puppy stage and would prefer not to have to deal with that much energy in her family or doggie friends. Mandy loves to go on walks and is great in the car. She plays nicely with well behaved dogs after an initial meet and would like a companion to help her feel secure.
Mandy is best in an adult home or one with older children.
Mandy knows several commands, walks great on a leash, is good in the car, takes toys, treats and food gently and is a very special gal.
Also, Mandy is a talker, not so much a barker but when she is excited or upset she makes a lot of noise. Her family should be experienced with reactive dogs or willing to learn. She comes with some training sessions included with the adoption. Mandy is in a foster home in central New Jersey with large, medium and small dogs and gets along great with all of them.
This lady is such a diamond in the rough. Are you that special someone who can polish her into the loving dog that she is inside? Please apply to adopt Mandy at: and email: for a meet and greet. or text: 732-546-8805. Check out Mandy's LATEST VIDEO LINK: AND HER PREVIOUS   VIDEO:

About Rescue Ridge

About Our Rescue Group...

Rescue Ridge is a 'last-chance' rescue. Staffed 100% through the efforts and donations of volunteers, we find homes for animals that other shelters and people have given up on. Through the kindness of various boarding kennels and foster families, rescued animals are cared for until they find that final family to love them.

Rescue Ridge began by rescuing healthy, beautiful, animals that were slated to be euthanized through no fault of their own. We felt it was unfair, that because their 'humans' had no more use for them, their days were numbered. We have tried to give each and every one of these companions a new lease on life. We rescued dogs, cats, horses and any other animal that we were able to help with our limited resources. And since we have limited space, we are always searching for those willing to help foster these wonderful creatures. We are always happy to provide information on options available to anyone needing to re-home their pet for whatever reason. It is our belief that education regarding pet ownership and its responsibilities is the best hope these companions have. You will have unending rewards when you give a second chance to one of these wonderful friends. They truly are the champions of giving unconditional love.

Volunteer dog walkers needed to walk our dogs. We also need volunteers to socialize our dogs. Must love dogs. Training will be provided. Our facility is located in Freehold, NJ. If you have a few hours a month to volunteer, please contact us at

Our Adoption Process...

Just contact us at, or call us at 732-681-3450, and we will be happy to provide you with an adoption application and, upon review of personal reference checks, vet checks, and possibly home visits, you may be chosen as a permanent home for that special companion. Please note that filling out an application does NOT automatically approve anyone for a specific adoption. We want to assure that the companion and adoptive family are each going to benefit from the adoption, and that it is as permanent an adoption as possible. We ask for help through donations to help cover the costs associated with keeping the companions up-to-date on vaccinations and spay/neuter programs. We request a donation of $100 for cats, and $200 - $400 for dogs, depending on the specific rescue. We are a tax-exempt organization so that any donation you make to Rescue Ridge is tax deductible, and all costs go directly to all of the animals we rescue.
