My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Grady. Grady is approximately 18 to 24 months old male black and white
semi rough coat border collie. Grady is on the smaller side for a Border
Collie at 30 pounds, which makes him the prefect lap dog. He came in as a
stray absolutely covered in fleas and ticks. He needed to be shaved down
and was given several flea and tick baths at the shelter. When he became
available, the shelter requested immediate rescue intervention, as they were
not sure if he needed a blood transfusion. Poor little guy was in awful
shape. He was picked up within the hour and taken directly to our
veterinarian, where he received wonderful care. Grady's blood work showed
that he was anemic, and he did not test positive for any of the nasty tick
borne diseases. Luckily, he did not require a blood transfusion.

Grady has the typical Border Collie energy, but has an off button. Grady
will require consistent daily exercise, along with mental stimulation to
keep him balanced He loves to sit on your lap, with his head on your chest
as close as he can get, a true little love bug. Loves his walks, and
stalking his foster brother. Grady is very eager to please, and would be a
potential sport dog for agility, fly ball or even a possible working dog.
Grady walks well on a leash, and has his basics such as sit and stay and
doggie door down. He is crate trained, and will sleep in one as long as he
is in the same room as his people. He is great with children age 6 and up
and, of course, other dogs. Grady has not been evaluated with cats , as we
don't own any. He is just the most prefect Border Collie and will only get
better as he settles in with his forever family.

If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please go on line and fill out an
adoption application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file
before any meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be
