Roxie's Story...
Hi, I'm Roxie the rock star! My foster mom calls me that because she says I totally rock. I am a five year old chocolate gal with a great figure. My favs are being loved on by humans, going for walks and car rides, visiting the farmer's market and did I already say being loved on? I get along great with other dogs and don't get on furniture or counter surf. I do my business outside and don't dig holes (especially since I got a mani/pedi) and I don't chew on things either. I take treats super gentle, walk well on a leash, and can sit like a pro. My foster mom thinks I would make a great therapy dog like my foster sister as I love people so much. I can be trusted in the house and my foster mom doesn't have to crate me ever because I'm such a good girl. I don't like chickens though (unless they're cooked and in my bowl) and horses and cows don't seem all that interesting to me. I haven't been to the lake yet so I don't know if I like water but I'll go anywhere as long as you go with me. I think my middle name is Gem or One in a Million as my foster mom keeps calling me that a lot too. I'm everything that makes people love labs so much... yep, I'm pretty special!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roxie, a Phoenix Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
