My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Moose
Breed: Lab/Chesapeake mix
Age: Senior
Gender: Male

Moose is a very big mature adult (8-9 years) chocolate Lab/Chesapeake mix, surrendered when his owner's health failed. He is so confused as to why he lost his home, but in the true spirit of a Retriever, making the best of his situation for the time being until a new retirement home is found for him. Moose is house trained, good with other dogs and kids. He is reliable off leash once attached, and will bark if tied out, so a home with a fence or someone who walks is preferred. He's medium energy, still loves to chase the ball and go for a swim and a walk, but settles down nicely inside. He was placed in a family members backyard for a few months so has a coat needing some work, it's sun bleached and he could use some good nutrition. He's an amiable dog with a sweet old soul needing his own place, with his own people. He has shown fear towards extremely large/tall men by barking and retreating, has never shown any fear with the men in his foster home and in fact enjoys their attention.

Requirements: No special requirements
