Leo's Info...

Leo's Story...
Leo is a 10-12 week old fluff ball....his fur feels like a baby rabbit! His Mom is a 19lb Aussie mix and they don't know who the dad is. He loves to run and play but is also loves to cuddle and chill out with his people. Not to mention, he is really smart and looks at you like he knows what you are saying. He is doing great with potty training, as well. He weighs around 9 pounds right now, so he will probably be a medium sized dog when he grows up. Leo is the biggest of his litter. This handsome boy and his siblings are, all waiting for their furever homes. Will one of them be coming home with you?

Priority for adoption after vet checks etc will be given to adopter who is willing to adopt without meeting. We just don't have enough fosters. Don't forget to check out Leo's siblings Wally, Theo, and Abby.
We do vet check and home visits on our adopters. Adoption fee is $375 and all dogs are neutered/spayed and up to date on shots. Please contact us if you would like to fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a West Hartford Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in West Hartford, or seeking a Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in West Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
