Dixie's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Dixie's Story...
Dixie is a Jack Russell Terrier mix about 2 years old. She was in a home with about 54 dogs. Our rescue took her and her pups and 2 other mom dogs and their pups. Dixie is on the small size. She weighs about 15 pounds, is spayed and current on all of her shots. She would be a perfect lap dog for someone. She has been around other dogs and cats and is fine. The one thing she needs work on is her crate and house training. She did not know anything about going outside before we got her so she needs someone willing to work with her. She does best in a fenced yard. Dixie's adoption fee is $200.00. When we first got her she had severe hair loss. We have treated her for this and she looks great now.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Lake Orion Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in Lake Orion, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Lake Orion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Orion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Orion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Orion paves the way for another one to be saved.
