Meet Bear!

This handsome hunk of pup is just the sweetest man who has come so far since being rescued from the mean streets here in Houston TX!

Bear was rescued by a good samaritan who pulled him from the street after seeing a post from a person on facebook. He had a badly injured leg but was just sweet as could be to all he met. How could anyone say no to a sweet face such as this! Bear was rescued and taken to the vet where we found that he was needing some help to feel better. His leg was not saveable and so he had to have it amputated. But don't worry! He doesn't mind at all, and gets around as if he never had it in the first place! He loves to run and play outside with his friends, a big group of dogs of all shapes and sizes ranging from 4lbs-100 lbs. He has never met a creature he didn't love.

Bear does great with dogs of all sizes, but does need to be monitered during play as some of the more hyper dogs tend to knock him over on accident as a high speed run in will result in him being thrown off balance. Other than that, he will join in on any fun game that is going on! He also doesn't mind that of the feline kind either, and respects their space! He will whine sometimes in excitement to see them, but when they come over to say hi, he will jump up and run around! Because he is so calm and gentle, Bear would be a great addition to any home with children of any age. He is not overly hyper, is very sweet and is not concerned over food, toys, or other posessions. Bear just loves to be at your feet with a nice tasty snack or a bone. Anytime we go on walks or to the petstore, Bear finds the closest kid to him and is sure to smell their hands then lock their cheeks, he just adores kids! He also loves to play and toys are his favorite! Sometimes he will hoard multiple toys in his bed with him, and will be found surrounded by his favorite things. He's such a sweet boy who genuinely wants to make you happy.

In the house, Bear is almost non existent! He is so well behaved, and happily avoids all the furniture, other than his own of course! He enjoys carpets and rugs and curls up contently for a nice nap after a good run of play outdoors.

Bear is housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, knows his basic obedience such as sit, stay, lay down, and go to kennel. He is up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, and on monthly preventions.
